Is very important know why GOD, in the Holy Scriptures recomands to take so much care to the Widows and the Orphans.
The reason is not just because they are considered weakest in our society, often oppressed, unharmed and suffering from their status, but especially because a man, a husband and a father faithful to GOD could fighting in GOD’s cause and goes to war for his own and his Comunity rights, fearless and ready to die if GOD’s calls. Religious men knows that their Community (in case of death on war or also in other circumstances) will take care about his family, protecting them and taking care about their needs probably better then the dead himseves would remaining alive. GOD is great, above all and everything, His Laws righteouss and His soldiers heroics.

Deut 27:19 Cursed be he who infringes on the right of the stranger, the orphan, and the widow! All the people shall say, Amen.
Isaiah
Is 1:16-23 “16 Wash yourselves, purify yourselves, remove the evil of your deeds from my sight. Cease to do evil, 17 learn to do good, seek justice, rescue the oppressed, do justice to the orphan, defend the cause of the widow.” 18 “Come, let us come and discuss,” says the LORD. “Even if your sins were like scarlet, they will turn white as snow. Jer 5:28-31 28 They are fat and pining, they overstep the bounds of evil; they do not defend justice, they do not care for the cause of the orphan, they do not do justice to the poor. 29 Shall I not punish these sins? Oracle of the Lord. Of such a people should I not take vengeance? 30 Frightful and horrible things are happening in the land. 31 Prophets preach in the name of lies, and priests rule at their beckoning; yet my people are pleased with this. What will you do when the end comes?

Lev 25:6 What the earth produces during its rest, it will serve as nourishment for you, your servant, your handmaid, your worker and your stranger who stay with you,

Sl 146, 9 The LORD protects the stranger, He sustains the orphan and the widow, But he turns the way of the wicked.
