The night before had been lively and pleasant, the two guys from Bojano, Ilario and Massimiliano, immediately turned out to be lovely people, not only for how they welcomed me, but also for how much they were interested in myself and the journey I was taking. We had long conversations, first under the stars in front of the steaming grill of meat that they managed with remarkable cooperation, and then in the hermitage refuge until very few moments before collapsing into a deep sleep that emerged due to inexorable tiredness.
When you travel a lot, you get to know many people, and you develop a sort of esoteric ability to recognize in a short time the transparency of the soul of your interlocutors. Appearances can often distort reality, while deliberately conversing, especially when in front of a common meal, can make very clear how much sincerity or fiction can be hidden in the hearts of those who take part in the dialogue.
