Commentary

So Baal-zebub literally means Lord of Flies which actually stands for Lord of Chaos, as flies are insects that go on dead bodies and dirt, so this is meant to be a title that denigrates a false God or demon.
If the empire of GOD is comparable to that of the bees (the Hebrew word for bee, deborah is the feminine version of the masculine dabar, which means “Word”, or the famous “Logos” in Greek) hardworking, helping the flowers to reproduce, producing the sweetest of “fruits” honey and taking care of the offspring. Lovable then, but also armed and ready for battle if threatened. While in contrast the empire of evil, of the Opposer Satan is like flies. They have no nest, they don’t cooperate, they go on dirt and rotting flesh, and many other characteristics that make it close to a parasite.

So Baal-zebub provides a clear illustration of the fundamental difference between GOD and Satan, between the saved and the lost. People who work for good are part of an intertwined set of souls that form the United Body of believers, and leads to resurrection and new life. Each believer is part of a colony and although they have the individual personalities and souls with which we identify, in their totality they are united in the CREATOR.

On the other hand, the misguided are not united, even though they may think they are, but in reality they are always ready to betray themselves and think first of their own interests rather than the more important ones of the “community”. These are the lost who, like flies on a carcass, are busy greedily satisfying their own interests and so are not united but divided. Satan is called the ruler of the latter group, but since the group is not subject to a rule, he can only cause more chaos among them.
