Upon the earth reigned a great King, whose wisdom and justice surpassed those of all other rulers ever known.
To His subjects He entrusted the arduous task of guarding and governing with righteousness the earth and all its creatures, promising as an eternal reward the coming of an Era of Peace, Prosperity, and Rest for all humanity.
And since He desired to guide them more closely, the King sent His three sons among the people, that they might be living examples and concrete guides along the way.

First, He sent the eldest of the three, entrusting him with the Truth and saying:
“You are My firstborn. Guard My Words and teach them to the people, so that justice may never fail.
The son, in his wisdom, received the gift with reverence and kept it, but in time he fell into excessive exclusivism, forgetting that Truth is a Light meant to shine upon all, and not only upon his own house.

Then the King also sent the second son, entrusting him too with the Truth and saying:
“You are My middle son, and therefore moderate by nature. Guard My Words and teach them to the people, so that balance may never fail.
Preaching with a generous heart, the son was followed by a multitude of peoples, yet as the years passed his strength waned, and pride clouded his voice.
Thus, for the people, the hope of attaining the promised Era once again seemed to fade away.

The Sovereign knew well the vastness of the earth and the diversity of the peoples who dwelt upon it, and so the time came to send the third and youngest son. To him, while entrusting the Truth, He said:
“You are My youngest son, in the fullness of strength and submission. Guard My Words and teach them to the people, so that zeal for My Law may never be extinguished.
Fiery by nature, the third son swiftly crossed boundless distances, and conversion spread rapidly like fire blazing through stubble. But then his zeal clashed with impatience and the excessive rigidity of his character, and once again the Truth was tainted.

Many years passed, and the further the work of the three sons advanced, the more the people seemed divided, both in Spirit and in traditions.
And yet the lives of the faithful became ever more intertwined: they spoke common tongues, traded while traveling across lands once hostile, forged bonds even where doctrines had seemed irreconcilable. All this was a clear Sign: the days had now ripened, that the kingdom might enjoy its well-deserved rest from its toils.

Thus the King summoned the three sons, and they appeared before His presence, fearful, feeling themselves complicit in the unfulfilled Promise.
But the Just King surprised them and said:
“My sons, I have summoned you to confirm that your labor has been pleasing to Me. Each of you has shown devotion to the Truth I entrusted you with, and to the mission given you to guide the people. Yet you must know that I did not send you so that each would bear alone the weight of My gift, but that together you might be the Light of the World. I did not give you three Truths, but one alone.

You, firstborn, kept it with love, though with excessive severity.
You, middle son, proclaimed it tirelessly, though you exalted yourself beyond measure.
You, last born, carried it far, but with too much inflexibility.

Therefore, do not marvel that many misfortunes still afflict your faithful and My subjects, for from the Beginning it was written that none, alone, would bring the mission to completion. The Promise shall be fulfilled only when you recognize your human limits and, with the humility born of matured experience, unite your strength. Not one of you, but all together, shall lead My people, who wait in vain for a Savior to come and deliver them.

It shall not be through the work of the individual that Salvation will come, but only through your reconciliation shall every nation be redeemed. Each one, though remaining faithful to his own origins and traditions, shall be brought back to the one and only Truth. Then the promised Kingdom shall be revealed, and the Light shall shine without end.”
